How long does it take to get a decision?
The majority of decisions are made within 3 minutes. On some occasions, your application may be referred for additional checks. If your application has been referred, it will remain open until a decision has been made by Klarna. You will receive updates on your application via SMS.
Do I have to make an upfront payment?
Yes, a mandatory 5% upfront payment is required on all Easy Upgrade finance agreements.
What does Easy Upgrade offer over other finance options available at Western Computer?
Easy Upgrade allows you to pay lower monthly payments with the option to upgrade to the latest technology at the end of your agreement (once the balance has been cleared on your agreement). Customers can choose to upgrade their device at month 12, 24 or 36 dependant on the device being returned and the balance settled.
Can I purchase an iPhone with Easy Upgrade if I have an existing contract with a carrier?
Yes, you can purchase the latest iPhone even if you have an existing contract with a carrier. You will still be responsible for any existing contracts and payments with your original provider.
Am I guaranteed to get the new iPhone when I renew at the end of my agreement?
We always look to keep the latest iPhone models in stock. However, this is dependent on stock availability with Apple and our distributor, and stock cannot always be guaranteed.
Will another credit check be performed when I upgrade?
All applications (new applications and renewals) will be independently credit checked by Klarna accordingly.
Can I rejoin Easy Upgrade if I have paid off the outstanding balance on my agreement?
You can rejoin the Easy Upgrade program at any point by visiting your local Western Computer store.
How do I get further advice if my application is declined?
You can contact Klarna who may be able to advise further depending on circumstances. We are unable to provide any details on declined applications in our stores.
What happens if I have had my Mac, iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch replaced that was originally purchased through Easy Upgrade?
If the Mac, iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch is replaced by Western Computer or an Apple Authorised Service Provider, we can accept the replacement device.
What happens if my device is damaged when purchased with Easy Upgrade?
When it’s time to upgrade, your device should be handed back in good working condition. We can provide you with a quotation for repair should you damage your device. If your device is not handed back in a suitable condition to trade-in, we will offer a lower trade-in value. You would then need to settle the balance on your agreement.
Can I cancel or change my Easy Upgrade agreement?
You can cancel your agreement within 14 days of the agreement date. If you wish to cancel the agreement during this period, you would need to visit the store where your application was processed. You will need to make an alternative payment for the products purchased on the agreement. If you sign to cancel your agreement after 14 days, you would need to contact Klarna directly to settle the outstanding amount with them. For our full return policy please click here.
Can I keep my device when I am due an upgrade?
You can keep the original device purchased through Easy Upgrade providing your agreement has been settled.
How can I access my Klarna account?
To gain access to your Klarna account, visit https://app.klarna.com/login and enter the same email address associated with your application. A link will then be emailed to you with further instructions. The Klarna app is also available to download from the App Store.
