Planning your deployment, device activation and setup, advantages of using Macs and OS X El Capitan.
Lesson 3 - Ownership models
Shared device deployment (for example, classroom sets owned by schools) One-to- one device deployment, Managing Apple IDs, device security, device state and delivery options, considering device restrictions.
Lesson 4 - Volume Licensing
Self-service model, enrolling in the Volume Purchase Programme (VPP), managing your VPP account and security, managing your purchases, obtaining app redemption codes, managed licenses and converting between the two, utilising Apple’s Device Enrolment Programme (DEP.)
Lesson 5 - Using iTunes
Pre-download software and updates for iOS 9 devices using iTunes, backup and restore devices, authorise your Mac to link with the Apple Store, learn about the iTunes files and folder structure.
Lesson 6 - Using Apple Configurator 2

Afternoon Session - Device and Data Management
Lesson 7 - Mobile Device Management
Choosing a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, advantages of MDM, how MDM works on your network, how to enrol devices with your solution, query your devices, manage device settings for both supervised and unsupervised states, new device settings and controls available in iOS 9.
Lesson 8 - Deploying iPad Apps over-the-air
Linking your MDM with your VPP purchases, adding apps to devices remotely, ensuring automatic install of apps with no user interaction, removing apps and data.
Lesson 9 - Utilising OS X Server version 5
Setting up OS X Server, using Profile Manager, using the Caching service to speed up distribution of apps and data, enabling the File Sharing service, enabling Web services.
Lesson 10 - File Sharing and Printing
Using iCloud Drive, using Airdrop to transfer documents between devices, options for other cloud storage solutions such as OneDrive, Google Drive and DropBox. Accessing file servers on your network, connecting to an OS X Server file share, AirPrint and other wireless printing solutions for iPad, commercial printing options.
