    Course Overview
    This course introduces you to the basics of the iPad. It takes you through the interface, shows you how to set up and use an Apple ID and iTunes, and covers requirements such as managing and sharing data, adding apps, printing and viewing files on the iPad, or through a TV or projector. Learn how to install any one of the thousands of apps from the App Store and extend the functionality of your device. The course also includes hands-on demonstrations of how to accurately type and efficiently use finger gestures, and includes tips for setting up the iPad so it behaves as expected.

    What You Will Learn
    This course aims to teach you using the iPad in a jargon free manner that make the best use of the time available. The course is divided into a number of sessions that make learning easy by dividing the subjects up into easily digestible parts.
    These include:
    Accessories and add-ons you might like to buy.
    Managing and using the system settings.
    Setting up an Apple ID
    Learning finger gestures
    Selecting, cutting, copying, and pasting text
    Syncing music, movies, photos, contacts, and calendars with your computer
    Getting on line with wi-fi and 3G.
    Using iTunes to explore, buy, download and synchronise music, movies and apps.
    Using the built-in browser to access web pages
    Using Siri to voice control your device
    Using iCloud and other email services.

    This course aims to teach you how to use the iPad in a largely jargon free and in a relaxed session.
    Learning is by doing and for those who do not have an iPad a loan one will be provided. These sessions include:

    Both sessions will include time to answer questions and issues.

    Who Should Attend
    This course is aimed at new iPad users who want to get the most out of the device. This includes people with some experience of computer or other smart devices and those with none.
