Apple Field Service Technician 

Bristol


Type: Full-time
Location - Bristol


The Role:

The position is a field based support role which involves delivering the highest level of service and support to our new and existing long-standing clients, you will be supporting customers in the business and education environments throughout the UK. As one of our Field service technicians, you will be able to work well as part of a team and as an individual, as well as being able to work under pressure in a calm and effective manner. This role is a customer facing role and as such we will expect you to be confident and have excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. The role although primarily field based will occasionally involve assisting or working on the help desk and performing remote administration tasks. You will need to possess excellent time keeping and management skills, with the ability to show a degree of flexibility.


Job Requirements:

- Previous experience providing support in a similar role is essential
- Applicant must hold a full UK driving license 
- Applicants will be required to give consent to a DBS check
- Be a conscientious worker keen to meet client expectations, meet deadlines and perform at a consistently high standard 
- Be able to install, configure and maintain MacOS Server, and MacOS client workstations
- Experience with Directory Services (Apple Open Directory & Microsoft Active Directory integration) preferred
- Be able to install, configure and troubleshoot problems with various software solutions such as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications, Extensis, Retrospect, Microsoft Office, FileMaker and Appleā€™s own software products such as GarageBand, Pages, Keynote and Numbers
- Have previous experience with software and hardware backup solutions
- Experience of configuring and maintaining hosted email server solutions
- Have a good understanding of network topology, including switch and router configuration or troubleshooting
- Have experience with various MDM solutions (AirWatch, Profile Manager or similar) in both business and education environments
- Previous experience of working in a help desk role would be beneficial
- Industry standard qualifications or certifications are desirable (ACMP, ACSP)
- Experience of working with the Windows platform would be a benefit
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as in an unsupervised capacity whilst working under pressure and being able to meet tight deadlines
- Have the ability to analyse and assess customer requirements and provide recommendations or solutions which will improve and enhance the clients day to day working experience
